Uniting people of faith, serving people in need

Christmas Bowl Concert 2008

The Council of Churches of WA is presenting the Annual Christmas Bowl Concert. The Council of Churches is 12 member churches working to create understanding within the Christian Communities and promoting global peace and justice.

31st August, 2008
St Thomas Catholic Church, 2 College Road, Claremont, WA
Featuring the Eneksis Vocal Ensemble (WAAPA@ECU), the Cottage Children’s Choir, and the St. Hilda’s Choir, directed by Micheal McCarthy.

This concert will support and highlight the plight of Sudanese refugees caught up in the continual conflict in their country today. More than 2 million people have been killed in the civil war and 4 million people have been displaced. With the tenuous nature of the Dafur Peace Agreement the need for Aid and assistance continues. This concert will help the most vulnerable. The Dafur Humanitarian effort is considered the largest in the world. People live in harsh conditions – people will queue for many hours for the basic requirements of rice and water.

You Can Help

By purchasing a Gold Class Ticket, you or your organisation can sponsor this Concert. One $100 ticket will give you a VIP seat, and you will be listed as a sponsor on our program. Support the talents of our local children and young adults as they seek to make a difference.

  1. Judith Woodward Says:

Can I buy a single ticket. I’d love to donate $100 but don’t have that kind of money to give for one concert.

    Judith.

  2. CCWA Administration Says:

Yes, perhaps that should have been made clearer. The $100 tickets are for VIP seating and sponsorships on the program. Normal tickets will be available for sale closer to the concert date.
