Themes to be looked at will include
Peace Church – The ecumenical movement began as a movement to heal the world, by first healing our own divisions. This workshop will consider the ways of peace, how we might learn to manage conflict in our churches and how we can be peace builders. Our Churches, congregations and parishes require a change of heart if we are to move forward together.
Reconciled Church – The relationship between Indigenout and non-Indigenous Australians needs healing, so that we can build a better future together. The apology of the Rudd Government is the beginning of the real change that must now occur. our Churches, congregations and parishes require a change of heart if we are to move forward together.
Green Church – Both the Bible and the Christian tradition have some vital and profound things to say about caring for the environment. Approaching environmental issues through a Christian lens offers valuable ethical and spiritual insights for people committed to caring for the environment, both within and outside the church.
This is an ecumenical even hosted by the Council of Churches of WA, Catholic Social Justice Council, Anglican Social Responsibilities Commission, Religious Society of Friends and Uniting Church Social Justice Board.
