Dayspring Celtic Retreat

Nathanael's Rest“The dialectic between an attachment to ‘place’ and a desire for ‘the journey’ among early Celtic Christians provides a particularly interesting key to our understanding of this tradition.
‘Celtic spirituality’ is itself an ambiguous phrase… it seems to embrace a more contextual, grounded, varied yet uncomplicated, messy, even chaotic faith and spirituality than the conventional, institutional forms…
The importance of pilgrimage and journey in the Celtic tradition, balanced with a strong sense of place, are sentiments that are very much in tune with the experience and temper of our own age. We seek both firm roots and yet a capacity to deal with continuous change.” Philip Sheldrake ‘Living Between Worlds: place and journey in Celtic spirituality’
We have the ‘place’, you bring the ‘journey’ – Come Join Us – dare to explore a ‘messy spirituality’.
You are invited to attend the
Celtic Retreat at Nathanael’s Rest

Ignatian Retreat at Nathanael’s Rest with Dr Ann Troup

Next month, Dayspring is offering an Ignatian Retreat at Nathanael’s Rest with Dr Ann Troup.
Saturday 6th June to Sunday 13th June 2009.
Cost: $600 (or $80 a day for a shorter period)
The heart of an Ignatian Retreat is time set apart in silent contemplation, away from the ordinary to focus on nurturing and strengthening the spiritual, so that the ordinary may become transformed and we may truly “find God in all things”.
