What can we offer ?

The Council of Churches can provide the following services to member Churches, Schools, and other interested community groups:

Newsletter

The Council produces a newsletter called “Together” which is sent to all the parishes of member churches and affiliates of the Council. Friends of the Council also receive a subscription to “Together”. The newsletter is published three times a year.
In 2003, the Council developed an email version of the newsletter called “Together online”, which is issued fortnightly. Together online grew even stronger in 2005 and has now over 200 subscribers. Subscriptions are free. To subscribe to Together online, send an e-mail to the Administrator.

Resources

We offer these Resources:

• Speakers for churches on topics such as: ecumenism, refugees, aid and development issues, Christmas Bowl and Partners4Peace
• Ecumenical Bible studies written by Councils of Churches and others in Australia and overseas
• Resources for:
  1. Week of Prayer for Christian Unity
  2. Simply Sharing week
  3. Refugee & Migrant Sunday and more…
• Brochures and information from the National Council of Churches in Australia.
• The Council has a set of display boards which highlight our work. These boards could be used by Churches, Schools and Libraries to highlight the work of the Council and the Christian World Service projects it supports
